The importance of grounding yourself.
A simple, yet life changing tool.
Amongst the chaos that life can be, it is easy to be in your head - overthinking, analysing and operating in a state of constant stress. It can be easy to become disconnected and ungrounded.
Signs that you have become ungrounded can include being easily distracted, lacking focus, feeling scattered, anxious or spaced out, as well as feeling completely drained. You may also experience physical symptoms such as inflammation, disrupted sleep, circulation issues or pain.
One of the most simple tools that you can do at any time is to find some earth (grass, sand, soil, a body of water) and to place your bare feet or any of your body on it. This simple process is called ‘grounding’ or ‘earthing’.
This simple process helps to:
Bring you into the present moment
Balance out your physical and spiritual energy
Feel clear and focused
Reduce stress
Decrease pain

Try and implement some ‘grounding’ in your day. Whether that is now doing a walk barefoot outside, meditating on the beach or grass where you can be closer to the earth, putting your feet in the ocean or whatever you desire that allows you to recharge through the earth.
Try it out over the next couple of days and let us know how you go!
