Meet our Founder (beyond the surface).
In the beginning of our relationship, my partner and I would ask each other thought provoking questions. We wanted to get beneath the surface and know more about each other. We still use questions to this day to explore what is going on in each other's minds.
In this blog, I’ll be answering some ‘getting to know you’ questions. Hopefully it can help you to understand me a little beneath the surface.
What is your morning routine?
Wake up just before 5. Meditate, journal and do breathwork on the beach. Go to my favourite Essentials Studio for a pilates or boxing class. Go for a walk and listen to an audiobook or podcast. Then, make a nourishing breakfast, get ready and begin my work day!
What’s the scariest thing that has happened to you?
Getting stuck in the Sahara Desert in one of the worst storms they had seen. We ended up having to stay nestled up against the camels for warmth throughout the night and then it took us 4 days to get back to the city because of all the flooded roads. ORRR a scary van ride in Bosnia!
What book changed your life?
You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay!! I was gifted this book when I was about 14 and it changed everything for me. It was the first time I had heard of the concept 'self-love’.
What is your best childhood memory?
Playing dress ups and doing karaoke or putting myself in a cardboard box and getting my brother to slide me down the stairs haha.
What is a fear you used to have?
That people close to me would die or leave me! This fear used to consume me daily.
What is on your bucket list?
Climb Mt. Everest!

What is the biggest risk you ever took?
Quitting my job and catching a one way flight to India with no plan. Best thing I ever did.
What do you enjoy spending your spare time doing?
Having date nights with my partner most likely at Paloma, Taverna or going on a weekend away with him. Spending time with my beautiful friends either lunching at The Hut or dancing together and having an Italian night. Going to the farmers markets and getting fresh produce from my favourite farmers. Swimming in the ocean, spending the day at the beach. Being in the forest and swimming in the creeks. Meditating and reading!
What is the worst advice you have ever received?
“It may not make you completely happy but you should just stick it out” (Nooo thanks. Worst move ever staying in either jobs or relationships where I wasn’t fulfilled).
Do you believe that people can change?
I definitely do. I have seen some people in my life change first hand. It still amazes me the changes people make when they commit to doing the work.
What is a big goal of yours?
Do a Ted Talk and publish my own book!
A practice you couldn’t live without?
Meditation! I enjoy it so much and it has been the biggest helper for my mental health.
Biggest gratitude in life?
The incredible people in my life and this community!!
